Guest guest
- Well, look on the bright side, you now know the diet is working... In answer to your question, yes you are probably seeing withdrawal. Our pattern for infractions was this: Vico gets gluten - becomes stoned " autism boy " week 1 - spacy, language loss, eye contact terrible week 2 - tantrums and night waking week 3 - starts coming back slowly and seems a bit happier - by end of week 3 catches a cold or has unexplained fever. By the time Vico gets sick I know he is on his way back to where we were before the infraction. Enzymes or activated charcoal can help with infractions - I think in our case they shorten the cycle to about a week and sometimes we get to skip the cold. Good luck - keep going, you now have proof that all your hard work is helping. Guest guest
Hi Moira, Thanks to you & all who responded re our infraction this week. Yes, I am glad the diet is working but didn't need proof (perhaps others did!). We're on day 5 after infraction & some things are improving but his stimming is crazy again & hes still irritible. Today his enzymes came in & we have to go see his nutritionist who does not seem to like enzymes (but I'd like to try them!). Blessings, Michele (, ASD, 7 yrs,Logan, 3.5 yrs)
