The skin is very absorbant and can soak up gluten from things like soap,

shampoo, creams etc etc.

This can be a good and bad nature of skin - one nice benefit is that some

supps can be given through the skin. We're about to start with some zinc

sulfate for my son. Rather than challenge his digestive system any more than

it is already, this is a nice alternative.

Also remember that many of these kids are also truly

allergic to gluten, casein, milk, and/or wheat, so

they can have a dermatitis reaction too.
