Have any of you ever heard of

erythritol, a naturally occurring sugar

alcohol? I'm curious about it because I just found this blog that

isn't SCD, but if focuses on low-carb and eating healthy fats and

whole foods. Many of the recipes look easily adaptable, so I will be

exploring that, but she is big into using erythritol. Anyone have any

opinions on it? I automatically feel a little wary of it since it

seems unnatural to me, but then again I know nothing about

it!

Sugar alcohols are not SCD legal.

erythritol

illegal

(list) Sorbitol, mannitol, erythritol and xylitol are all sugar alcohols

and are not SCD legal. They fall under the category of indigestible

carbs and so allow companies to label things 'sugar free', even though

they are providing nutrition to the bacteria that live in your digestive

tract.
