About the RNY being a forced diet for the rest of your life, that is exactly what the Bariatric specialist said to me. He said the RNY will be forcing me to diet the rest of my life. I can't handle that. I just am so excited about what the DS offers and have no idea if I can ever pull off getting it. Also, I am getting a tremendous resistance from my family. They, of course, have not or ever will be obese. I am the only one in this generation, although my little sister is fast approaching obesity (she says because of meds she is on). Anyway, since I have brought up this subject in my family it has been a very painful time of comments like you just aren't doing enough to lose weight, you don't do exercise you don't do this you don't do that. I feel I am lucky just to get up in the morning and do anything with my day. I am 47 and I hurt. I have always had back problems since I was really young and now that is really something, not to mention hips, knees and feet that have had injuries from when I was a daredevil active person. LOL Thanks for the encouragement. i
