EnerG Foods makes " Egg Replacer " and most people are referring to this when they tell you to use egg replacer. It binds AND leavens. Most other egg replacers do one or the other. For example, I bind things with flaxseed meal soaked in water, but on the rare occasion that I have tried this in baked goods, I also add extra baking powder as a leavening. (I think I have done this successfully only in a yeast bread and one torte-like coffee cake. When I tried it in a brownie recipe that used eggs as the only leavening, it failed miserably.)
