Lolita,

I've seen a lot of information about mercury toxicity/chelation and the MS

connection, but not the diet. We are chelating our son 3 yrs old who has

been on the GFCF diet for about a 1.5 yrs. I have a cousin who has MS and

in my research for my son, I always look at anything that pertains to MS and

pass that along to her. Good luck with your daughter!!!!

Yes, our local MS support group has several people on a GF diet and we've

sent them some samples for one of their meetings where they spoke about

this. I don't think there's any research on it's effectiveness but my

experience has been that many people with autoimmune disorders think they

see some help from avoiding gluten...and perhaps casein. If it helps...even

a bit

My understanding is that there maybe a connection between MS and

autism. MS ( I understand) is an autoimmune disease and there has

been lots of talk about the immune connections with autism.

I have an aunt with MS but of course she is not on the diet but I

will suggest that to her.

I did also want to pass on I had station surfed the radio several

months back BD ( before the diet)and heard about women who had breast

cancer that were given dire prognosis but continued chemo anyway but

with casein free diet. There was a significant number of them that

went on to survived although they were classified as terminal.

It makes you think more and more about you what you eat!
