Guest guest
Hi Adrienne, My son just got his helmet a week ago, and the same thing is happening (altho on his left). When the helmet was fitted, we asked the question, but they said it was ok, it is just where the skin was catching. However we are are not happy about it as it looks to be getting worse. We are back there tomorrow to get the helmet refitted, so will know more then. I'll let you know if they tell us anything that may be of interest. Thanks, Charlotte > > Hi All, > > My son just got his helmet on Friday and I've noticed that its making his right eye look sleepy and kind of pushing it down. The right side is where the flat spot is in the back and so his forehead protrudes on the right in front. Is this common or should I be concerned? I can't take any chances with his eyes!! > > Thanks > Adrienne >
Guest guest
hi adrienne! My sons eye did the exact same thing on the exact same side! I was terrified and felt so bad! I didnt really notice it until he looked UP at me one day- and i noticed it was 'sqinting'. i immediately got on this group and started asking questions about the eye and people didnt have a whole lot to say! so i made sure i asked the ortho about it and they said that it was just because it was touching the forhead on that side and there was nothing to worry about. the good news is, that its been almost 3 months and his forhead is normal now (YAY!!) its even and guess what? his eye doesnt do the squinty thing anymore! so that is def. a breath of fresh air becasue i love his beautiful eyes and like you, was worried they would permenatly stay that way. good luck! and make sure you ask your ortho just to make sure > > Hi All, > > My son just got his helmet on Friday and I've noticed that its making his right eye look sleepy and kind of pushing it down.
