Judie, I'm astonished that you can eat that much food and still lose. ARE

you still losing, or do you want to? How long have you been eating this

way? Are you required to eat that much protein, or could you reduce the

protein and up the veggies at meals?

It must be the malabsorption part of the surgery that enables you to eat

this much and lose. I'm pre-op, and I know if I ate that much, I would

gain.

I guess I'm a little scared, too, that even after surgery, your stomach can

hold so much food.

Judy,

Yep I can actually eat that much food in one day!! I am still losing but

slower now since I am so close to goal. Dr Welker said I should lose more

without any effort since Im still a year from my window of opportunity. I

will lose my last 8 lbs from the tummy tuck in the spring! Since Im already

at goal with my size i dont really care if I lose any more weight but

according to Welker, it will come off anyway without any effort.

Ive been eating this way since my 6th month. Im not required to eat that

much protein and I suppose I could reduce the amount but why would I? if my

weight it steady or still going down why would I stop? If Im hungry I

eat....in fact I graze sometimes during the day and it has not hurt me at

all! Dr Welker said by the time we are a year out we should be eating 2500

calories a day and only absorbing 1200 of them!

Yes, it is the malabsoprtion part that enables me to eat as much as i

do.....I gained before surgery eating this way but now......it just melts

off!

Now you can see how wonderful the surgery is becuz now I can eat just like a

normal thin person (and thin people sometimes graze alot too)

At first it made me nervous eating this much food but guess what.....the

scales kept going down! so.....that proves to me it works and there is

nothing to worry about!
