I'm not 100 pct sure from my recollection, but I know I posted all that info in the archives. Maybe I should try to find them and re-post them? AGh! I know that the lower part of the stomach is responsible for producing acid and it's removal somehow affects or can irritate the pancreas. There is a slightly increased risk but I can't remember how much of the risk there is.... all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 almost 9 months post-op and still feelin' fabu (again!) preop: 307 lbs/bmi 45 now: 213 ????
