Guest guest
Cara, Just be careful with the reeval. With Pres. Bush's No Child Left Behind, the special ed services are being changed around a lot. Children who really should be spending their days in more of an LD class are being forced into the mainstream with in-class support. This teacher who offers in-class support can have up to 6 kids to supervise. At least that is the law in NJ. If you want to be in the LD class for longer periods, make sure you make that known. I'll help you if you need it once you have the conference. You do not have to sign the papers right away. There is a window of about 2 weeks. If you don't sign, the IEP goes into effect as soon as that time is up. If you put your concerns in writing and they agree to make changes, then there will be time to do that.
