Guest guest
Beth, So sorry to hear about your niece. I will pray for her as well. We are all upset about our own disease, but this puts things in a little bit of prespective. It is heart breaking for a 9 year child to have to go through this. Thanks again. I will keep you all posted. > > Beth > Moderator > Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 Dermatomyositis 11/08 >
Guest guest
Hi guys! I'm using Betty's post to get back to y'all because I have info on my situation. Although it has been quite some time since I have made any posts, I am doing so now. Recently, I had A*N*O*T*H*E*R hearing with the VA in regards to my lung problems and, just heard back this past week. I have been approved for a disability rating increase to (at least ... as they haven't done an eval as yet, next month?) 10% ... could be more but, don't know. And, it could mean a BACK PAY of benefits of at least $20K+/- ... depending on the percentage. They have linked it to ASBESTOSIS as well. What was interesting is that it was noted that the previous RO in 2005 DID NOT review my entire (8-10" thick) file. So much for government work. Anyone have experience with asbestos with these lawsuit guys on teevee? Let me know. Thanks for the past support and, for continual posts that helped out. I am feeling tired tonight and full of medication but I know I am on the road to recovery. The sinus thing came on very fast yesterday and by this morning I knew I needed to get in to see my primary. First thing this morning though I had a mole (a nevus spilus to be specific) excised from my back. It was biopsied back in November and while it was not cancer, it was also abnormal and it was decided it had to come off. Not a big deal except for the fact that it was apparently more deeply rooted than they expected so it took a little longer and I have more sutures. After a quick run through some of my program at the gym (wearing a mask and gloves because I knew I had an infection) I went off to my primary. The good news is my chest is clear the bad news is my head if full of gunk. Sinuses infected, conjuncitvitis (which I couldn't see yet but my doctor assured me was there) etc etc. So antibiotic, and eyedrops and Flonase and advice to double up on the neti pot I'm hanging out taking care of myself tonight.Again thanks for the get well wishes. I am fine, just need to rest and figure out a way to dump some of the stress that's creeping up on me. Easier said than done right? Guest guest
No, not me. I hope he's OK ... I am "tolerable" ... after THREE heart attacks in four years, last just before Christmas. That was how I met my husband. We played hearts online with a bunch of people, one of whom called himself Phred. He had said he was quite ill, but never said what the illness was. When INN dissolved, we lost touch with him.
