Guest guest
Mike... I'll jump in here w/ Geeta's post to you. She said it so well. I've done the same thing. We don't give up, we just give out...there has to be some sort of relief for the physical, mental and emotional endurance we expend. Tears are a great washer-upper. We made need to wash-up again soon. MamaSher; 71, IPF 3-2006, OR.Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Re: Corn removal Mike, I Soooo understand how you must have felt, the heart gets heavy and saturated and tears are the only way out, infact one feels much better after a good cry.i send you warm hugs to comfort you and thank you for your kind words.Geeta>> Geeta,> > The feeling of being alone and without understanding comes at the oddest times. Recently, after a particularly stressful day at Jewish (they were great in every way), when the PFT was nearly impossible to finish, the exercise test was exhausting and to finish it off, a simple scan that is always a piece of cake was just terrible. I was not doing well when I got to Denver; and the scan, being the last procedure, was to be easy and I actually looked forward to getting it done and finishing the testing. After about 3 "hold your breath... breathe" segments, I was depleted of reserve. Coughing, gasping and near panic, it was finally over. > > For some reason, all recovered and breathing fine in the dressing room, I simply lost it and sat there sobbing and feeling like a fool. Absolutely nobody but one who has been there can possibly know that it isn't the event, it is the culmination of events! The old "straw that broke the camel's back" story fits well here. With all we have going for us, all we DON'T need is a blankety blank corn with added complications! You are understandably stressed out and need moral support. You came to the right place.> > Looking back, I don't know why the tech didn't offer O2 but she didn't. Next time anything like that happens I will ask for it. Maybe it would affect the scan but I doubt it. No doubt there will be more of these challenges. Other than being forewarned, I can't suggest to> you how to deal with them; but this group is a great place to go after> it's over. Just try not feeling foolish for your perfectly normal reactions. > > ann> > "When you're going through hell, keep on going....
