Guest guest
Wow. My heart goes out to you. I can't imagine a 17 yr old at 106 lbs. My 2.5 yr old son was put on megace and periactin to try to get him to eat by mouth. He is orally aversive to food and refuses to eat by mouth. He is exclusively g-tube fed. The medications didn't work for us--he just is NEVER hungry. BUT, we did not have ANY side effects on Megace and he was just a little more sleepy with the periactin. If a 25 lbs 2 yr old can take it, I would think that a 17 yr old could. Are you in the states? I know this sounds absolutely crazy, but if you can get some medical marijuana, that may help. It can be cooked in food and have the same effect as inhaling.
