Wow! There were tornados in our area this morning. Tornados are NOT that

common around this area. One touched down in the town that I grew up in

Narberth, PA and another hit the town where my sister and her family, 2 of my

friends and their families and one of my sisters-in-law and her family all

live. (Havertown, PA) My parents got away with a little dirt blown around their

front porch but the other side of the little town had major damage and power

outages. My sister's house is fine but my niece's elementary school lost power

and a tree crushed a car across the street from her school. I haven't heard from

the one friend but the other had no problems. My sister in law's street was hit

VERY hard. Many trees down, 2 of the trees hit the church at the other end of

her street and naturally they have no power or telephone. The cemetery across

the street from her house has grave stones that have been knocked over and

driven into the ground by the force of the winds. The parish school has lost

part of it's roof. If the tornado had come by 15 minutes later the children who

walk to school would have been on the street. We are thanking God that there

were NO serious injuries. Wow the devastation is awful though! if it's not a

hurricane it's a tornado..... the people in both towns were also hit by a lot of

power outages due to Isabel last week! Please keep those hit so hard in your

thoughts and prayers.

We on the East coast sure have been hammered lately, flooding in Wilmington, DE

and parts all around, we lost power during Isabelle and now tornadors in PA.

What a great winter we might have.

GEt out those snow shovels, deicer and clean out the gutters for the rain.

Batton down the hatches and get prepared.

judy in Newport,DE mom to almost 20
