Guest guest
I have never written to you but have read your post and have followed your wife's progress. What a nightmare the two of you have endured. Your wife spent a very long time in hopital and will take even longer for her to settle into being home. The back pain could be pancreas related, I too, have pain in my upper back just right of my spine and under the scapula, I also have pain under my arm pit. Her pain could be pancreatic or it could just be that she has spent a great deal of time in a hospital bed that had her head elevated and now she is home sleeping flat again. That does put a strain on the neck and upper back. Get hear a heating pad, we all love those, and some stores have large wedged shaped pillows that can give her a slight elevation to her mid- back, head and shoulders. This might ease some of that discomfort as well. I know Isaw them, at Bed Bath and Beyond. I am very pleased that your wife is home and continuing her recouperation. It will take time. Some people say that you will need a week at home for every day in the hospital. Thats a bit much if you ask me, but a pretty good rule of thumb. I will keep ya'll in my prayers and hope that she continues to improve. Warmly,
