Moreover, we have in the usa, vaccine for haemophilus influenza; this affects ears, lungs and often causes meningitis and yet is not universally, with parental consent, used. Most vaccines are, how ever, only effective if the individual has never developed antibiodies to the virus or bacterium; this can readily be blood tested for.
