Guest guest
My understanding is that Pseudomonas Cepacia was originally thought to be part of the pseudomonas family but once it was studied further, the differences became clear and so it was renamed/reclassified scientifically as Burkholderia Cepacia. Your post did inspire a possible concern: that eliminating or controlling Pseudomonas Aeruginosa in the respiratory system (e.g. by vaccine) could leave the door open for other bacteria to grow that we still are not able to control. Sigh. That is not to say that we shouldn't be trying to get rid of the pseudomonas problem. Let's all just dream along with n for awhile ... I like her dreams.
