hey all,

I'm new in this group, coming from germany and my english isn't very good.

My both children are having cf, they are 21 and 22 years old.

Somebody told me, that perhaps " Armour Thyroid " could help to get more Saue=

rstoff (ops... sorry, don't know it in english - O2) in the body or lounge.

She told me, that some cf-patients in the USA tried it and she heard, that =

it helps.

In the german-cf-list nobody knows something about the medicin, only one sa=

id, he himself hafe to take it every day for his thyroidoa (Schilddrüse). And=

it could be dangerous for the heart, if you take it in the wrong way.

And in germany you have to go to the doctor for getting the medicin and heh=

ave to see, how much is good for you.

So i like to know, if some of you tried this medicin.

he.

Sorry for being german... perhaps somebody will answer to me - perhaps in g=

erman (damit ich es verstehen kann / so I could understand..)

and many thanks!!!!!

so long: Christiane

I'm sorry that I can't help you I don't speak any German but I do have a

client that does. Torsten is also from German he has a daughter with CF. I am

sure he will be a great help to you. Deb A

Hi Deb,

I know Christiane from our local support group (but have to admit

that I didn't attend there for almost three years) and I've replied

to her already. But I couldn't help her either, since I have never

heard of CF being treaten with thyroid hormones. Athletes and

Bodybuilders take those hormones to enhance oxygen transport in the

blood, but it's a long shot (too long for me) to think that it could

help pwcf too.

Peace

Torsten

Well I wasn't quite sure what she was talking about. But I am glad you were

here to help! Deb A
