Guest guest
Greetings: First the great news - My lipase is now within normal limits, and my pain is under control without medication!!! !!! !!! BUT, I've had to make even more drastic changes in my diet to get here. The problem is that I've been eating an extremely restricted diet for 6 months now, and it's very hard to keep eating like this. My last big change was the meat and dairy. I just couldn't tolerate it. So, I'm trying to see if I can handle the soy.. The toughest thing - coffee. Truthfully, I can't get to far away from the Brat diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast) without getting into trouble. I've done well with the dried fruit, etc. I'm actually feeling better, more energy, and I'm STILL losing weight. But, it's sometimes very hard to keep eating like this. Yes, I know the consequences if I don't. But how long after your lipase is normal do you have to keep eating like this? Rick
