Guest guest
No, I don't have to do that test, thank God. The first fecal-fat test was done as a smear. It showed greater than 100 percent of fat in the stool. The elastase test measures the amount of pancreatic enzymes in the stool. If it's less than 200 than I'm not producing enough enzymes. I know one thing. This is about killing me being off the enzymes. The diarrhea is bad, and I have cramps and the sweats. My temp is up to 100.8. Of course, my temperature never breaks the 101 mark. It just stays in the high 99s or 100s. My boss is great. He is so understanding. In the fall, I had no idea what was going on with me. I just knew I was sick. I was real bad off then. I didn't get up off the couch for four weeks unless I was taking a shower or going to bed. It was awful. But work stood behind me the whole time. No adios muchacha or hurry up and get back. They have just been wonderful.I'll talk with him today and discuss options. Thanks so much for the understanding and kind words, Heidi. Y'all have been so wonderful. I can't imagine a day without everyone here. Tammy
