Guest guest
Originally everyone was hoping or expecting everything to clear up after I had my gallbladder removed. And it did for awhile. But the pain showed up in a different spot, and the diarrhea got worse. I've had every test imaginable -- endocscopy, colonoscopy, cat scans, MRIs, regular ultrasound. The original GI doctor thought I had that dumping syndrome and put on Questran. That did nothing. Then my PCP put me on librax and that turned me into a space cadet. That was in the fall and at that point work was getting pretty worried because they knew I was sick. So that's when I went out on short-term for the first time. I cancelled the EUS because I figured there was no sense in getting it done -- that it would just show everything's AOK. Bad decision, I know. Duke said they want to do one if the fecal elastase shows an abnormal reading. I think my second GI doctor is mad. I could call his office and tell him that I made the wrong decision, I guess. I'm going to call my insurance and see if they'll cover coming to ton. I'll let you know what happens. Tammy
