Guest guest
Hi Walt, You and you whole family are in my prayers and I continue to keep them there until your father is better. Maybe you should carry your glucose monitoring kit with you for awhile, because since this is new to you. Some people get the same reaction with high sugar as they do with low sugar. My husband just found out that he was diabetic 2 & 1/2 week ago and with oral meds and watching his diet he has good results so far. I did ask that they set him up with an appointment with a diabetic educator and we have the appointment to both go on April 7th. I have been to her myself, as I have been a diabetic since 00, but I need they refresher course, because I haven't been watching mine as well as I should , now that it is under control. But I do know that it could go haywire anytime, so a refresher course for me and him just getting educated for the first time will be a great help for both of us to eat better. You might want to mention to you doctor about see an diabetic educator, after things settle down with you father, to whom I wish the best of luck too and like I say before, you all are in my prayers.
