I have discussed this at length with my physician, his

recommendation was that I have a driving test inaccordance with the

Department of Motor Vehicles. It is possible for an individual to be

arrested if they are determined to be under the influence. My

biggest concern is this: A person that takes pain medication

prescribed by a physician is involved in an accident, will the

insurance company pay, or will they say we aren't paying because the

accident was caused by the consumption of pain medication, and will

the person that is taking pain medication be sited or arrested for

being under the influence. This is the senerio prsesented by my

physician ( he will not certify anyone to drive). His suggestion is

to go the department of motor vehicles and physically take a driving

test. I guess it would be wise to know the laws in your state. Don't

be decieved in thinking that because you have presciption you won't

be arrested for driving under the influence if pulled over.
