I know that most types are listed on the legal list, but I'm trying to figure out what the common thread is between the illegal ones. I used to use alcohols a lot in cooking. I know that the liquors are out...bummer, I use them a lot for desserts...but it looks like white and red wine are OK. What about extracts(vanilla, almond, lemon, peppermint, ect.)? How will I know if they are lega? > Meleah scd 05/06 > iel 3yrs., asd > Ethan 5yrs., Mark 1yr. > This information is on page 80 edition 10 BTVC. Guest guest
Meleah, The common thread in the alcohols and extracts is " no added sugar " . You want dry white and dry red wines. You want extracts without sugar, or high fructose corn syrup. Things like pure lemon, or orange oil are quite legal. Vanilla extract can be legal -- watch for the sugar or HFCS. And yeah, bummer on the liquors. I'm working on a few ideas, but like so many things, they got put on hold courtesy of the August Witch. Guest guest
If you come up with any answers on the liquors thing, please let me know. I can't tell you how many froo froo desserts I used to make with them. Meleah Legal alochols > > Meleah, > > The common thread in the alcohols and extracts is " no added sugar " .
