I live in WIlmington, N.C. There were only two pain specialists here

in town that were on my insurance. I think my PCP will help with the

pain meds. He's been real good about it.

I've done nothing but cry because I have to go back to work, and I

just don't know how I'm going to make it with the pain. To make

matters worse, a friend said she suspects some of my illness is

psychosomatic because I'm not doing everything I can to get better,

especially quitting smoking. I've tried to explain to her that I'm

not going to get better. Even though the ERCP showed no signs of CP,

I can still have it. It's apparent something is wrong with the

exocrine function because I have such bad effects after stopping the

enzymes for the past three days. I think I'm going to do the fecal

elastase on Monday, and then I get back on the enzymes after that.

The diarrhea stops when I'm on the enzymes.
