Tammy Dear Tammy, It's good that you are maintaining a positive attitude with all of this, in spite of your continued pain and so far unresolved theories about what is causing it. The decision to send your records to MUSC is a good one, I believe, and I hope you find out there what's really going on with your pancreas. BTW, you will have to fast for the triglyceride test. I had one done three years ago when I was first diagnosed, and remember that this was a requirement. I'm sorry that you're having the see-saw pain syndrome, here one day, gone the next, etc. That seems to be par for the course with this disease (sigh). You'll probably be doing a lot better once you can start taking your enzymes again, don't you think? With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. Guest guest
That's great news about your cholesterol coming down!!! I'm also gald you're back on the enzymes. Do you feel well enough to be back at work? Just be sure not to wear yourself down. When are they expecting the results of the elastase test? I always hate the in- between limbo while waiting for test results. I do better dealing with things that are definate. Otherwise I tend to worry & predict the worst. I can remember several times, I went to the ER c/o pnacreatitis symptoms, they would do blood tests which came back normal. They would send me home, & within a couple of days, I would be back, so sick, with abnormal blood results, & have to be hospitalized. Sometimes, I just wish the docs would really LISTEN to me instead of relying on numbers. Anyway, I'm babbling. Let me know how you're doing with your pain meds & work, ok?
