Guest guest
Hi Chrissy, Sorry I didn't see your post before posting my message. I'm sorry there was nothing totally positive. We all desperately want straightforward answers and this disease rarely gives us thaem. I'm sure you agree you wouldn't want to be the first to have TP/ICT in your hosptal? You would want to feel you were in the hands of the most experienced surgeons possible. There are two positive steps, thought. Firstly the possibility of seeing Dr Cotton. You'd feel happy you had a really expert view there, wouldn't you? Secondly, why not go to Minnesota where Dr Sutherland works? He seems to be quite the most experienced at the TP/ICT. Anyway Chrissy, I know you'll be thinking things over now and I hope you'll come to feel that you are moving forward. You know, this is such a significant thing that I don't think it's really surprising that it would take a while to be sure about and to organise, do you? I do hope the pain has settled. It has to be a wise decision not to go to work but I know how hard that is for you. I don't know enough about the different sorts of pancreatitis but we do know that the disease tends to go through different stages pain-wise and that it's unpredictable from this point of view. Let's hope yours is about to move into a better phase. Keep in touch, With love, Fliss
