Guest guest
Hey there, I'm sorry about the disappointment from the doc. I know what you're feeling. I went through the same song & dance about what was causing my cp, & I think being nurses, it makes it harder to accept a no answer answer. I am concerned about you not being able to work, since nursing is something that is so important to you. Do you think maybe you could find something in the nursing field that wouldn't be so physically hard on you body? If nursing meant to me what is does to you, I would've looked into other possibilities, but I was so burned out in just 2 years that I found no joy in the nursing profession at all. I don't know if this helps, especially as quickly as things deteriorated for you, but I'm am somewhat relieved that the docs aren't frantic to do something. I know the limbo of not knowing is bad enough, but if there's a bright side, maybe it's that you're not so sick that you're in the ICU. I can't even imagine what tube feedings are like, & it seem so unfair since eating food is one of the pleasures we enjoy in life. I want to tell you to be totally compliant with the feedings, but that's the nurse in me talking. I don't know if I could even be as gracious as you are if I had a tube. You know how much I care about you, Chrissy, so you e-mail me if you want to vent or anything. You're in my prayers, as always. Love you BIG!
