Guest guest
Thank you so much to everyone who responded. Your suggestions are great. I've been limiting almost all solid food and I got my husband to go and buy me a bunch of popsicles and low fat frozen yogurt. I really appreciate having people who know what i'm going through. To answer some of the questions i've had 2 ct scans (it showed nothing), an MRCP (which showed pancreas was fine but that i had divisum), an ERCP to attempt stenting (that failed so they are sending me to a surgeon in Toronto), colonoscopy (thought it might be chrohns but was just bad IBS), small bowel series (again testing for chrohns). I get my blood tested every 2 weeks and all levels are normal but my lipase. It's always elevated. It was 860 yesterday. I've also been on enzymes (creon 20) but they didn't help at all. My current surgeon isn't even saying what they are gonna try if the stenting fails. I'm scared that if the stenting fails than that is it. My GP is a great doctor who listens to me, but doesn't know much about the pancreas. I honestly think that they'll just leave it cause my pancreas isn't showing damage. My doctor had told me they wouldn't do surgery unless the pancreas showed damage and if I had it longer. I only started having problems in Aug of last year. I just want to be told that they can fix this and that I don't have to wait 3 years before they fix it. I'm only 26. Thanks for listening and responding.
