Guest guest
Dear Sonja, I don't know about the meds you're taking, but you wrote this: I get this awful dryness in my mouth and my gum bleeding occasionally coming and going (I have perfect teeth and am so thourough with brushing and cleaning my mouth). I wonder if the meds you're taking is causing the dryness in your mouth. Also, if your dentist has checked for gingivitis or something else, & that's not the problem, your gums could be bleeding if you're using a toothbrush that's too firm. And again, it might be a side affect from your meds. You also wrote: I am still in a position without a doc and waiting for news to turn up about a doc who would take my symptoms seriously and help me in this djungle of medications, I feel so lost, lonely and an loosing faith. How will I be able to go on when I can hardly eat anything and just get weeker. It feel as all of my body is collapsing. I'm concerned about what I'm hearing in your post. I don't know if it helps, but I've been where you are. I was living in Atlanta, away from all family, for 2 years trying to work & mange this illness. I know what it is to be lonely & lose faith. I just want you to know that it can get better. Four years ago, I was supposed to have a feeding tube in my stomach. But here I am, only having had 1 hospitalization in about 2 years. I'm proof that it can get better. Maybe not perfect, but definately better. Please, stay on this board, vent to us whenever you need, continue to educate yourself about this disease, & I'll keep you on my daily prayer list. There's always someone here to help or just be a sounding board, so I hope you stay with us. BTW, check on who's in your area, & find out about good docs near you. There's a lot of people here who have found some wonderful docs. Hugs, Deanna Tubb New Mexico PAI Rep
