I have had a very modified whipple procedure 3 years ago, and my

brother had the full whipple 10 days ago. Our lives have not been

shortened by this procedure, but if we don't live our lives longer

than was in our original plan detailed by the man upstairs to begin

with, then it is because of the illness forcing us to have the

whipples in the first place, and that was not CP.

Hi Donna,

I had a modified Whipple in 1986 (19 years ago) when I was 44. Many years of

great health until the CP hit in 1998. I still have a good life style, sure

there are a few problems but one can cope and get through them.

I hope you do well.

BTW it took me about 18 months to finally get over the modified Whipple

Best wishes, Poncho - GA
