Guest guest
Jeppe, I was reading the description of your pseudocysts that you wrote to . Are you saying that you already had large pseudocyst that was 11 cm. and the doctor drained it down to 6 cm. and two days later it was operated on and removed? So the pseudocysts that you have now are new ones? Is that correct? I find this discouraging. One would hope that once the first pseudocysts were removed, that would be the end of problems of this sort. As you may remember, I have two pseudocysts now that I've had for 3 years. They keep getting smaller, and then larger. So far, no surgeon will operate on them, but if I were to consult another surgeon, perhaps that would change and he would chose to operate. For me, it doesn't seem worth the risk of the surgical operation to remove them, if there is a chance then, of even more developing. This is just my personal opinion in regards to my own situation, though, and certainly not a criticism of your circumstances. I'm just trying to figure this all out for myself, in regards to whether or not I should seek another opinion in my own case. It is the belief of my doctor that because of my pancreas burnout, that if my pseudocysts were gone I would no longer have any pancreas pain. Naturally this is a scenario that I would love to envision, as dealing with my brittle diabetes now is enough work all on it's own. I'd love to eliminate at least one of the problems in my life.....wouldn't we all? I look forward to hearing more about this from you when you have time. Think good thoughts, Heidi PS - mine feel just as yours, except I've not had one that is soft. Since all of my pancreas is atrophied and hard anyway from the calicification, it is difficult to deliniate the outlines of the pseudocysts when they are smaller, but the largest is easily felt.
