It will get better day by day. I am 9 days post-op and really tired of soup.

I hve done all the broths. I did the iquid broth from Manhatten Clam Chowder,

and Split pea, and they both were okay. Tomatoe soup and juice seems to be

the easiest to drink. Apple juice , but mixed 1:1 with water so its not to

sweet.

Yogurt seems to be okay with me. i started it on day 3 post op. Have had

peach, Banana, banana cream pie flavored and all stayed down well.

Sugar free pop sickle tongiht and it was great.

I can't wait till Friday whick will be my 2 week mark. I believe then I can

advance to mashed potatoes, oatmeal and grits, maybe even a bites of very

well chewed up macaronni and cheese.

Good luck, I know varitey is hard to find.

Hi Bob !

It was sooo very nice to meet you at clinic last week ! I am happy to hear

you are so very close to the 2 week mark...I am only eating about 2 tsp of

broth and 1 cracker a day...the rest just water and gatorade...and very

little at that. I just dont seem to be hungry...but I know it will not

last... I tried some V8 juice tonight..it was good. I though we could not

have cream soups the first week...but I couldnt figure out why we could have

V8 juice and yogurt...some consistency and almost same ingredients in the

soup...(for V8)

Thanks for your words of encouragement.

Sincerely,

in Fl

Thank you!! This site has gone a long way in showing me that there really are

people who are so giving of their time to help and advise, so caring in their

compassion that is shown here. I will admit I had been getting pretty cynical

in these later years of mine, but this site has shown me that there are

wonderful people in the world and it does make me try and be a better person

and for that I thank all of you!!!!!!

TO in FL:

Thank you for letting know you have arrived on 'the other side'. I really do

like the sound of that: " The Other Side " . We pre-ops are right behind you.

Before-we are so unsure, so wanting to get where you all are...But to hear

all the positive energy that is generated once you reach 'the other side' is

enough to make us want to battle the insurance companies and anything else.

Thanks
