Dear , It could be iritis which I had years ago. There is steroid,

probably pred, eye drops that helped me. I spent so much time dealing with

eye flares but the drops do help. Its been years since I needed them. Oh,

they burn like hell when you put them in but it works in a couple

, your friend will need a steroid eye drop. I have had several eye flares and when I get them my eye doc prescribes prednisone drops. I hope this helps.

Sharon, Dawn, and all others who have responsded. Thank you!! What a great

group. Russ has made an appt with an opthomologist for Thurs. He said he

took 30mg of pred this morning and his eye is already better. Will let us

know what he finds out from the dr.

Thanks again for all your help. I told him you'd all come through. This is

the best group ever. Thank you.

, I had three years of antibiotic treatment for

eyes that I now know were flaring from RP. The only

thing that worked was a steroid eye drop....there are

many to choose from. This person needs to see an eye

specialist, not just their PCP. I still have to use

ten drops in each eye every day to keep them o.k.
