I have been dealing with this since my first attack in 1997. I am told that

I have had is all my life and it chose to attack then. I have an almost 5 yr

old ( he'll be five in Aug) I was pain free for those 9 1/2 months ( he as

late). I was pain free for a while after he was born. I started having attacks

again but was never admitted to the hospital, till about 2 weeks ago. I was

in for 3 days. It is hard on my son cause he doesnt really understand why I

am sick most of the time. He wants to play but I get tired quickly or I am in

pain. Sometimes when we are playing and I have pain he thinks that he caused

it. Then I have to explain that it is mommys boo boo in her tummy acting up

again and that he didnt do it. It is hard on my whole family. Even my mom who

is 1500 miles away. She feels bad that there is nothing that she can do for

my cause I am so far away. Then I tell her that even if I was still in NY

there is nothing that she can do either.
