Guest guest
Hi Roweena, > say when coconut flour can be used in baking??? Coconut flour could be used in baking after the intro when GI symptoms have begun to improve somewhat. Start with a small amount wait a fe days and see how it goes. It is fibrous so tread lightly. another suggestion > would be to grind pumpkin seeds (again - this is later - stage 5 i > think?) - i have made LOD biscuits using this type of flour and they > turned out fine! Elaine recommends waiting on all seeds like pumpkin, sesame etc until 3 months after the " last symtom " has disappeared and then tryt them cautiously. Also she does not recommed using large quantities. They contain cyanide and she didn't like the idea of overdoing the cyanide. When ready to try them small amounts like a little sesame seed butter in humus, or a few pumpkin seed etc. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 22yrs mom of and
Guest guest
hi sheila, thanks for the feedback re: coconut because i am not keen on too many nuts and was hoping that coconut could be used in baking and other forms of cooking... there is a great coconut cookbook a friend recommended and i tried a couple of recipes she suggested from it - they were great! i will definately go slow as audreys main issue (besides behaviour) is the forever changing stool consistency!!! roweena x mumma to audrey 3yrs food intolerance (leaky gut) and behaviour issue Re: [was] no dairy, no nuts [now] COCONUT FLOUR?
