Guest guest
Hi! I'm new at this. I just sent in my packet to Dr. Rutledge a few days ago and haven't heard anything yet. I really want to get my surgery on Oct. 3,4, etc or the next week Oct 10, 11, etc. I live in Fla and my mother-in-law is flying down to take care of my 7 (yes 7) children ranging in age from 7 months to 16 years. I have been so encouraged just reading all of your emails to each other. I can't wait until I have my surgery and my " littermates " and feel like a real part of the group. I am a self-pay who is going to try and get reimbursed from my insurance company. I wonder how long it takes to get your surgery date? I'm so excited to start the first day of my new life! Guest guest
Hey , Isn't it exciting to finally get that packet in? I fed-ex'd mine in on a Thursday overnite. On Monday morning about 11:00 I emailed Barbara to ask how long should I wait before i started bugging her about it. She replied by 2:00 that same day that i was approved and wanted me to email her some dates I wanted. I have a 29th date. Good luck. Betty in Western NC scheduling surgery >Hi! > > >I'm new at this. Guest guest
Good news/bad news answer... Good news - I was able to schedule a 'tentative' surgical date once my packet was received and 'preliminarily' accepted. At that time (in July), the office gals pretty much knew if a packet was going to make the grade with Dr.R or not, so if you've done your job, the tentative date was pretty easy to schedule. Bad news - Dr.R has become much busier than he was even in July. Your October dates may be somewhat optimistic depending on how far out the bookings are being made.
