My daughter, Piper, just cultured PA last week. She was a breast fed baby, but

for only 6 weeks. She wasn't gaining any weight so the pediatrician though that

we needed to start supplementing with high calorie formula.

cultured PA from diagnosis at 9 & 1/2 months. She was not breastfed, It

didn't work for us although I would have liked to have been able to do it.

Question to parents of PA+

I have a question

The children who cultured PA early eg before 2 yrs old, where they breast feed

and if so for how long? Just curious to see if this is relevant or not.

Thanks

My son was breastfed for a year and he has never had PA. He also

never had a cold or any other illness until he was 15 months old.

Zach cultured PA at 20 months. He was breastfed until he was 2

months old, which was very near his due date since he was

premature.
