Need Doctors in Philly

Hi,

im fred and new to the group. i heard there was no way to transplant

the pancreas. my dr. said i will need enzymes in the future.

does anyone live near philly? im looking for two specialists one in

pancreatitis ( mine is supposivelyy shrunken very small ). im worried things

will get worse. does anybody get pain in your back. ive got back aches. i also

have severe peripheral neuropothy and the pain in my feet arms legs etc is worse

than the pancreatitis. i need better pain meds and am also looking for a dr in

pain management. are there any links to drs.

what else do you guys do for pain. i hunch over all the time but my

back is just getting worse. im worried. well, i really hope i meet

some great people. im 42 single live in bryn mawr pa. please feel

unfortunately, I can't help with the doctors, but I do have peripheral

neuropathy in both my legs. For that you really need to see a

neurologist, not a pain doctor as what is wrong is that your body is

interpreting all singals from the leg as pain. So even a soft touch is

translated as pain. There are some medications out there that fix that

to some degree. I'm on Elavil (it also works as an anti-depressant and

migraine medication - all of which I benefit from) for that and have

been on it for over 15 years. I also know that there are other

medications out there if the Elavil doesn't work, so you really need to

go see a neurologist for the neuropathy.
