Guest guest
Hi Rick! I am so sorry about your experience! How is your wife? Is she still in the hospital? Are they taking better care of her? I am surprised at the nursing care you received as in my case, it was the opposite: The doctor care was lousy but the nurses were, for the most part, fine. But I wasn't on the inpatient ward, just the over night observation ward. The doctor care was lousy as the doctors covering for Dr Cat (both of my admissions were over the weekend and he never comes in then) didn't have a clue why I was there and discharged me when I shouldn't have been. I feel so badly about what happened there......by referring you to St Lukes instead of Froedtert, I was hoping that you would avoid that kind of thing (Froedtert was extremely bad in the nursing care when I was an inpatient for two weeks in the surgical ward). I guess there is no guarantee, but that it happens everywhere is so depressing.....I was counting on St Lukes if I needed further inpatient care.............. But the important thing now is that you recover fully, that your wife does too and that you can go on with your life, hopefully never having to face a hospital again for many years. Take care.....Let us know how you both are doing (again I am so sorry about St Luke's................) Laurie (everything else with your pancreas looks ok? no signs of CP? What did Dr Cat say about follow-up and prognosis? I am happy that he at least, lived up to your expectations!!!!)
