Guest guest
Not to spoil people's hopes, but I haven't seen this with my daugther. She graduated at 10 mo, and my feeling is her head is the same at 3.5 yrs. I would love to say that she's improved, but I don't think so. It does make me so happy that I did band her while I could - since I know she wouldn't have " rounded out on her own " . I guess every kid is different. -christine sydney, 3.5 yrs, starband grad > > For those of you who wonder if the head keeps moving in the right direction after the band is off, I believe it does. Maysa has been out of her band almost three months and I am seeing her head round out even more. Guest guest
You're right about that :-). Trust me, , I am forever thankful for this group and to you. I don't know if I ever told you this but it's the STARscanner report that you posted of Sydney in the photo albums that made me really doubt Maysa's first passive helmet. It is also with that in mind that I ended up going back to Orthomerica. I needed to see if Maysa's progress was comparable to that of Sydney's. The rest is history, but the fact that I had something to compare things to helped me keep my sanity! Thanks! I know you are 100% pro-banding. I just meant not every baby will continue to round out. Also it just makes me even happier in our specific case, since sydney's head didn't do anything on its own. Meaning her head would have been a big mess now if I hadn't done anything, and Maysa's head would be a slightly less big mess ;-)-christinesydney, 3.5 yrs, starband grad> >> > For those of you who wonder if the head keeps moving in the right direction after the band is off, I believe it does. Guest guest
Hi, I thought it was great Maysa's rounded out so nicely at this age with or without the band! I am hoping 's head does as well with his helmet as Maysa's did without. is approaching 15 months and the current severity is comparable to Maysa's in the 15.5 months pictures. has plagio though and the problem is restricted to the back right side, so the asymmetry makes it look worse. We plan to keep in a helmet as long as possible. Kathy, mom to 14.5 months, Starband 2.5 months christineashok wrote: I think you misunderstood me. I know you are 100% pro-banding. Guest guest
Hi Leila, Maysa looks amazing! I'm so happy for you. My husband and I are putting Luke back in a helmet next week, but this time a DOC band. I think his head looks good, but certain angles are still upsetting my husband, so I agreed that we should do everything we can so that both of us are happy. Luke adjusted well in the other band and his head can only get better. I'm hoping that he gets as much improvement as Maysa did. She really does look wonderful.
