Ellen,

You wrote, " Please note that Dr. Gress...recently joined the

medical staff at Duke. He is an expert endoscopist...It was

his...series of EUS celiac blocks that...I've not needed narcotic

analgesics for several years. "

Thank you so much for sharing that information. We receive so many

inquiries regarding celiac blocks, their success, anticipation, etc.

We always say that everybody responds differently to different

procedures, surgeries, meds, etc. Your story certainly attests to

the benefit of pursuing blocks.

On a more unfortunate note, does this mean that you are having to

find another endoscopist? Hopefully, he has made some excellent

referrals with some of his colleagues. We wish you the best for

that. Duke is certainly fortunate.

Hello Ellen,

I noticed your post and I would like to ask you a few questions. I am

from the Bronx and have had CP for about 6 to 7 years now. I have seen many

many Doctors from the city to westchester. I saw Dr. Heire at Westchester

Medical Center in Valhalah and He saw me for a while until he said there is

nothing

else I can do for you and He was supposed to be the best in the Country he was

in a magazine for top 10 GI docs in the Country, I was shocked as well but

see he is NOT in anyway compassionate in anyway. I have seen so many docs that I

need someone to help me in my troubles. I haave seen so many that I cant

remember them all. I mean I have had ERCP and EUS and The Sphincter of OD and

some

other things but I need someone that will stick with me and I saw your post.

PLease if you can please help me out and tell me more about the doctor your

seeing in NYC or NY. Thank you for your time and I hope hope that this might

might work

Giovanni
