Guest guest
Hi Kaye, (and Mark) This message will be a little odd and might even offend some folks, but here goes. Once upon a time I heard a story about an inner city hospital that had a common practice that was used to provide an IV where the normal doctors, nurses, and other folks had problems. Like getting an IV into a severely dehydrated baby, an old person with badly rolling veins, in other words the " hard " sticks. They would go to the " prison ward, " a common area of most inner big hospitals, and enlist the aid of a hard core drug addict. I understand some of those folks can hit the vein in the dark in the back seat of a moving car down a bumpy country road. They can hit the vein in a finger or even a toe. Now this isn't a practice that would be publicly acknowledged or even admitted to but it might get the job done. So, while it might not be pleasant, think about picking a different hospital, it might work Best wishes, Poncho _ GA
Guest guest
Hey Mark: Just got home Wednesday from a 13 day stay in the hospital! This was very bad with fluid in the lungs and the whole bit. I haven't even had the energy to send a note to the groups. Would you mind doing that for me? This came so suddenly. Very scary. Will be in the process of going to see Dr. Cotton at ton soon. He sent me an Email and said he would be glad to see me. Now its insurance approval time, etc. etc. Who knows how long that will take. I don't know if I can take another attack like this one. The doctors warned me about adult respiratory distress syndrome also (ARDS) this time and how quick it could come on especially with the fluid in both lungs. I wondered why I was short of breath! Duh! Talk to you soon. Kaye
