As most > of us know, she has a major " bone to pick " with Dr. R. > in Atlanta As for MGB-TRUTH, it is a public, unmoderated list to discuss the REAL truth about the so-called " MGB " (Billroth II). MGB-TRUTH has 85 members in 2 days and has over 300 messages already. It was started because of Rutledge's annoying habit of censoring out questions and commentary about the MGB that got too close to the truth. Innuendo and cutesy-stupid doesn't get too far in MGB-TRUTH. You do need to come with some facts to share or questions to ask. http://www.egroups.com/group/MGB-TRUTH Dr. Barry Fisher is a well-known bariatric surgeon, and just one of the fine people posting to MGB-TRUTH. I'm shocked that anyone could come up with saying he is somehow " tainted " by even being in the same newsgroup with me. ROTFLMAO! You get a prize for that one. But, oh well, now you are tainted, too, because I'm in the same newsgroup with you and -- GASP -- I'm even writing to you! Better wash those cooties off, QUICK. It is probably going to be hard for you, but I'll type r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w and maybe we can unearth even one fact from your insipient innuendo: 1. What is my " major bone to pick " with Dr. R? 2. How does that make a difference about the 100 years of medical research that has been done on the Billroth II that concluded, more than 25 years ago, that the MGB / Billroth II was a very dangerous surgery that should not be used for weight loss because in several years, complications develop including ulcers, gastritis, and cancer, that are complications SPEFICIALLY CAUSED BY the BILLROTH II procedure, IN ADDITION to the ordinary risks of any weight loss surgical procedure? 3. Did you look at any of these medical studies, ? 4. Have you tried to find any research about the Billroth II on your own? 5. If not, why not? It's just your life, after all. -- Kind regards, http://www.fourlane.com/lindat lindat @ mindspring.com (no spaces) --------------------------------------------- ROBERT R. Guest guest
Hi: The best source of information on the MGB is on Dr. Rutledge's site WWW.clos.net Also, hang around here and read emails. You will learn lots. There are dangers with this surgery as with all major surgeries. They are presented on Dr. R's web site and in fact he will require that you learn about them and that you complete a process of 12 steps to educate yourself about wls. Best wishes! If we can help in any way, let us know.
