I highly recommend Lifescan's OneTouch UltraSmart meter. It tests in 5

seconds and has all kinds of extra features to help in actually managing

your diabetes, not just in recording your bloodsugars. But if all you

need it for is to test your bloodsugar occasionally, the OneTouch Ultra

is good too. As far as I've been able to find out, the most accurate

meters are made by Lifescan and it's been that way for years.
