I am at the maximum level you can take, 25 mgs., and I have had very few side effects. Once I got to the larger doses (20 and above), they suggested that I take half of the pills a couple of hours before the second half, to decrease the chance of any problems. Metho has worked for me. I flared pretty badly in the last two weeks, but that's because of decreasing the prednisone. We put that on hold for a month to let this higher dosage of Metho kick in.
