Guest guest
Hi, my name is Cara and I am new to this board. My son is 19 weeks and has been doing physical therapy for his tort for about 2 1/2 months now, but when we went to the dr for his 4 months visit she told us to get his head checked out at Cranial Tech in Chicago. So we went and were told he has a severe case which was shocking to me because I didn't really see it or I didn't want to see it. They told us that he will have to be in his first band for 2-3 months and may not need another one after that. Now that we went and had the pictures taken I really notice it. Our insurance covers it 100% so we go Thursday the 25th for the inmaging and then the following Thursday to pick up the band. I really just want the best for my son so if this is what it takes then I am ok with it! We are huge Cubs fans and want to paint the band with the Cubs " C " and paint the whole thing blue. For those who have painted them what kind of paint do you use? What is the process? Any help would be great! I look forward to reading stories and getting advice. Thank You Cara
Guest guest
Hi Cara. My son just went this past wednesday to the CT in Skokie for his imaging. I love the people there. THey put this nylon sock over his head when they take the picture and my son who's 5 1/2 months old was LICKING the sock the whole time and giggling. He thought it was great. I've heard that any accrylic paint works to cover the helmet. and also putting a coat of modge podge? SPelling??KimFrom: Cara <cara_a_silverman@...>Subject: New to DOC Band and herePlagiocephaly Date: Thursday, June 18, 2009, 8:51 PM Hi, my name is Cara and I am new to this board.
