I personally can't declare something to be officially legal or illegal, but I honestly do not see why Swiss water process decaf would be illegal. I know we went round and round with this last week, and I guess I will just repeat that this is my opinion only. You might have to hunt to find beans made with that patented process. Not just any " water process " decaf... apparently some others use chemicals. Patti Re: Re: Hot Drinks I use caffeinated but put in decaf for the person who couldn't drink caffeine. But yes, I was under the impression that Swiss water process decaf is legal, since someone posted that it is made decaf by a process that uses water ONLY.
