Guest guest
Hey All Just wanted to let yall know I got honorably discharged from the hospital again...lol I am still running low grade fevers and still pretty congested and wheezy but the doc did two bronch's and suxed me out as best he could. He said that he couldn't believe how full off crud I was less than a week after my first bronch.During the first bronch it took over an hour and 7 gallons of saline. They had to go down 7 different time during that bronch. My chest is still raw from that one.I was the unfortunate talk of the ward that evening...lol I did get some cool pics of my lungs during the bronch only I am ticked off b/c he took the pics after he cleared me out...I wanted to see the way they look when I'm doing a perfect rendition of Darth Vador. I think they also D/Ced me b/c over 50 people were waiting for a bed in the ER alone from the flu outbreak here. Its crazy. They are starting a mask protocol in the ER at the hospital I was at.Its killed 2 kids in NC already ! ! ! On a different note, Brad got admitted today. He has been running fevers since he got the flu, the first clinic visit they told him to exercise...a lot that does ffor the flu and then this time he was down 12 lbs, his PFT's were in the toilet, and tonight he's running a fever of almost 104 and they hadd to put him on oxygen. So I am pissed to say the least at the care he's getting at his CF center. They ALWAYS wait until he ends up with pneumonia and how many pneumonias does he have to get before major damage is done. He of course is worried about work.....Good Grief ! ! ! Anyways...I'll tell you all about my lovely room on Maternity, getting kicked off that floor and sent to Neuro....LOL I guess they thought I was a head case...Just Kidding for those of you that don't recognise my sarcastic sense of humor. Linnie called regularly and thanks to everyone else who called to check up on me.I felt like I'd been run over by not only Greyhound but Amtrek too..... I'm still weak so I doubt I'll go see Bradley tomarrow. Guest guest
Becky, I sent you a package that I would really like you to get. I sent it by two-day mail, so that it would arrive today. Will the hospital forward the package to you? I am glad that you have been sprung! Hopefully, your fever will go away really soon. I don't mean to sound ignorant, but why do they do bronch's?
