and Kendra,

I live in Hazard, Ky, but my husband works in ton. I am there on

weekends quite often. Maybe we could get together for our own little

support group sometime. I am almost two weeks post-op. If I can help

either of you any way, let me know.

Kendra,

I made a mistake. I am almost two months post-op. I ate a lot of yogurt.

Yoplait is best. At two weeks I started eating a little mac and cheese,

mashed potatos. Apple sauce and jello are good choices also, as is cottage

cheese. Make jello and put cottage cheese in it. Very good. Just hang in

there, that first month is up faster than you expect. I eat anything at all

now and it doesn't bother me. I just don't want to eat meat very much.

Just be sure to eat slowly, chew very well, and stop when you feel full.

Don't try for that extra bite. If you do you may regret it. I have not had

any dumping, nausea, or any problems at all.

Kendra,,

Yes, I ate yogurt,, applesauce, cottage cheese during the second week. I

hope Dr. Rutledge isn't reading this, but close to the end of the second

week I ate mac and cheese. I chewed it so it was mostly liquid, but I

really started feeling stronger after that. Did you get the other names

that wanted to join our support group. I will look them up again if you

didn't. I also ate oatmeal that second week. My friend ate cream of wheat,

but I don't like that. I would also eat some of the noodles in soup. Sorry

for rambling.
